![]() ![]() I can remember some random detail about all of the others, but the Berserker feels really generic by comparison. It was also just the least memorable class in my opinion. To me it feels like any old melee class in any other ARPG, and it doesn't have that extra flair to it that makes the Engineer fun to me. I do play with a mod that removes summon duration, so maybe it's a little OP that way.īerserker is my least favorite for the same reasons I didn't want to try Engineer. I like almost every skill you can get, and I love being a minion master that isn't just another necromancer. I tend to dislike melee classes, but the Engineer was just so much fun that I didn't care. When I finally tried it, I discovered I basically love everything about it. I thought the Embermage was more fun than that simply due to the greater variety of crazy spells you can cast.Įngineer became my favorite despite an initial reluctance to play it. I don't dislike the Outlander, but after completing the game it wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. Outlander was the first one I played when I got Torchlight 2 since I relish any opportunity to use guns in an ARPG. I think my ranking goes Engineer > Embermage > Outlander > Berserker. ![]() Hopefully others drop in to give their own insights, because there's generally no wrong way to have your character build. Lastly is the Berserker, I've never really enjoyed the close combat nature of this class, and have spent much less time playing than the other three so it's difficult to discuss it fairly, but all skills are designed for the beserker to be a facerolling menace. Outlander is next, either a quick shotgun or twin pistols, socketed with DoT gems, but venomous hail is outstanding, maxed out I can one shot anything, a Boss, a group, an army, everything is dead under the green rain.Įmbermage takes third, not because I don't like it, but it takes time to get up to speed, once you've overcome the need for mana, they are an unstoppable force of area effect skills, which synergise really well. ![]() Favourite class has to be Engineer, force shield, spider mines, and I usually go with an elemental staff and spend most points on focus to build up that elemental damage, although a cannon can be huge fun. ![]()
